The History

Keskustalo has one of the Finland’s first mall type building complexes in between the two resident buildings and had the very first escalators in Hämeenlinna. There used to be a very popular bakery “Vainikaisen Leipomo” on the lot, which also was the oldest building in the city central. It was taken down in 1962. Keskustalo was completed and opened to the public in 1964.

Arts and Crafts Shop

Local artisans’ crafted specialty products are on sale in this unique small shop. Souvenirs, gifts, jewellery, decorations, textiles. All unique and with top quality.

Gallery Willa

Small and cozy art gallery in the middle of town of Hämeenlinna. Exhibitions are changing frequently.

Cafe Vaski

In the cafe we serve home baked goods and fresh coffee every single day. Most of the diets are taken into account. You should inquire about them at the cashier or call us beforehand to make sure.
